TCM Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that our issues with heart, lungs, kidneys and other organs are tightly connected to our emotions. I can confirm that in my situation this was true. A few years ago I had a random Blood Test.  When the result came back my GFR (glomerular filtration rate which is a level to measure the kidneys function) was lower then a healthy female my age would expect it to be. I did lots of research to find an explanation why this would be happening which led me to TCM. A situation in my life put me in a very dark place being depressed, sad and loaded with fear what the next day will bring. After I read how the emotions can affect, in my situation the kidneys, I consciously  chose to do things on daily basis that made me feel good and I practiced to be happy. This period in my life thought me how to be grateful for all the good things I had in my life. I repeated the blood test couple months later and my GFR number climbed up 15 points to a healthy level.  Do what makes you happy daily. Make others happy. Find what makes your heart sing. Stay healthy!
